The National Swimming Pool Foundation® (NSPF®) is a non-profit organization founded in 1965, giving back over $4 million of all revenue since 2003 to fund grants to prevent illness, injury, and drowning, and to demonstrate the benefits of aquatic activity. The Foundation works towards its mission to enhance healthy living by increasing aquatic activity through education and research with its growing collection of educational products and training.

The NSPF mission and vision made its most tangible appearance with the NSPF Certified Pool/Spa Operator® (CPO®) certification program. Over the past decade, NSPF introduced a portfolio of educational materials including over 40 online training courses. The scientific World Aquatic Health™ Conference, first launched in 2003, has provided industry professionals, educators, government and medical experts around the globe a leadership forum for advanced education.
